The Basketball Game

Jake was nervous. It was the last game of the season and his team was losing by two points. He looked at the clock, there was only 10 seconds left.

"Pass it here!" his friend Marcus yelled from across the court. Jake threw the ball but it almost got stolen by the other team. Marcus catched it just in time and dribbled toward the hoop.

The crowd was screaming really loud. Jakes heart was beating so fast he could hear it in his ears. Marcus jumped up and shot the ball right as the buzzer went off.

It went in.

Everybody ran onto the court and picked Marcus up on there shoulders. Jake smiled, even though he didn't score the winning shot he was still happy because his team won. Sometimes being a good teammate matters more then being the hero.

They went to get pizza after to celebrate, and Jake ate way to many slices.
