Rainy Day

The rain is falling on the ground
It makes a soft and gentle sound
I sit inside and watch the sky
And wonder why the clouds don't cry

The puddles form on the street below
Kids in boots walk to and fro
I wish that I could go outside
But mom said no, I gotta stay inside

Tomorrow maybe it will be clear
And summer will finally be here
Until then I'll just wait and see
And drink my tea, just me and me
